​​​​Yeerongpilly Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) provides support for children with diagnosed hearing loss from birth to pre-prep age.

Eligibility​

Elig​i​bility is determined through regional processes, taking into account:

  • the child’s hearing loss
  • the significant educational support needs of the child
  • the nearest specialised program.

Registration process

  1. Family makes initial contact by phone or email.
  2. Family visits for an initial appointment, meeting with Head of Special Education Services and the Guidance Officer to discuss their child’s needs and the programs offered at Yeerongpilly ECDP.
  3. When a family chooses the Yeerongpilly ECDP program, forms accompanied by audiograms and other documentation identifying their child’s hearing loss are submitted to the Education Queensland Metropolitan District for approval.
  4. After approval, your child’s program may commence.
