Yeerongpilly Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) provides support for children with diagnosed hearing loss from birth to pre-prep age.
Eligibility
Eligibility is determined through regional processes, taking into account:
- the child’s hearing loss
- the significant educational support needs of the child
- the nearest specialised program.
Registration process
- Family makes initial contact by phone or email.
- Family visits for an initial appointment, meeting with Head of Special Education Services and the Guidance Officer to discuss their child’s needs and the programs offered at Yeerongpilly ECDP.
- When a family chooses the Yeerongpilly ECDP program, forms accompanied by audiograms and other documentation identifying their child’s hearing loss are submitted to the Education Queensland Metropolitan District for approval.
- After approval, your child’s program may commence.
