Yeerongpilly Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) provides support for children with a diagnosed hearing loss from birth to pre-prep age.

Eligibility is determined through regional processes taking into account the following:

  • the child’s hearing loss

  • the significant educational support needs of the child

  • the nearest specialised program.

Our registration process:

  • Families can make initial contact by phone or email.

  • The family visits for an initial appointment, meeting with Head of Special Education Services and the Guidance Officer to discuss their child’s needs and the programs offered at Yeerongpilly ECDP.

  • When a family chooses the Yeerongpilly ECDP program, forms accompanied by audiograms and other documentation identifying their child’s hearing loss are submitted to the Education Queensland Metropolitan District for approval.

  • After approval, your child’s program may commence.
