Our beliefs

All deaf children can develop language to communicate.
Deaf children may learn to communicate using spoken language.
Deaf children may learn to communicate using Auslan.

Our programs focus on developing deaf and hearing impaired children’s communication skills.

As young children learn through play, our individual sessions and group programs are developmental and play-based.

We support families and respect all their decisions regarding their children’s communication. We believe that parents’ interactions with their deaf or hearing impaired children are the basis of learning early language. We can provide families with information, strategies and advice to help with each child’s communication development.

We believe that to learn to speak children must have consistent access to and use amplification devices (hearing aids / FMs /cochlear implant/s).
Children who learn to communicate using Auslan need to have access to fluent Auslan users.

All our staff members are committed to helping children with a hearing loss and their parents to develop the children’s communication skills.
